I am originally from Oklahoma, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Oklahoma State University in 1998, went on to work for a major oil & gas conglomerate, married the love of my life, and then made a temporary move to North Carolina in 2002 and simply fell in love with the area (with the entire state really), so we made this our permanent home. I love the triangle area, the people, the architecture here, and real estate in general. Who is Merrick? First and foremost I am a Christian, I love God and look for opportunities to serve him by serving others. I am a father of 3 of the most amazing kids this life has to offer, they’re all grown now, two have started their own amazing families, and the youngest, inspires me and astonishes me every single day with her drive, dedication, and willingness to help others. I am also a husband to the most perfect woman God could have created for me, she encourages me, lifts me up, and empowers me to be the best version of myself I can be, she is my rock.
Other than that, I like to ride motorcycles (probably a little too fast at times), skydive, scuba dive, and recently I picked up an old hobby from my youth, BMX Freestyle, and started re-learning how to ride. It feels silly at 50+ years old, but it sure is a lot of fun.
